Story
of the Scott-bird:
- Drove
the stock Thunderbird 4.6 for a few years until it died in 2005 because
Jiffy Lube neglected to put oil in it during a regular oil change.
GRRR.
- Found
a perfect 2000 GT Mustang motor and had it installed by Ter-Tech,
along with several upgrades.
Enjoyed the new performance for more than a year.
- Late
2007, renovated interior and exterior using a clean donor car, had
the car painted and installed new stereo.
- In January,
2008, drove it into a deceptively deep puddle, sucked water into the
intake and blew the sides out of the block. Ouch.
- Purchased
a perfect 2003 GT Mustang motor for the swap and had the suspension
re-worked at the same time.
New motor swap and suspension work by Fleet.

Notes: |
- In December,
2007, I removed the interior, and swapped in the gray interior with
leather from my parts car, another '95 T-bird. With the interior down
to metal, I had the car painted Platinum Silver, changing from the
previous color I'd driven with for 7 years, a color I not-so-affectionately
called 'old man green'. The parts car has been a great resource for
replacing all the little things to make this one immaculate.
